Uwe Röhrhoff Steps Down as Interim CEO of Gerresheimer AG

Uwe Röhrhoff has stepped down from his role as interim CEO of Gerresheimer at his own request. He had assumed the position at the request of the supervisory board in November 2025, during a challenging period for the company.

He had been appointed interim CEO of the company effective 1 November 2025, for a term ending no later than October 2026. During his tenure, together with his fellow management board members Wolf Lehmann and Achim Schalk—who were also newly appointed in 2025—he succeeded in stabilizing the company and comprehensively addressing key issues.

This includes the fact that, through the agreement signed at the end of July 2026 to sell the US subsidiary Centor and the global primary packaging plastics business, Gerresheimer will be able to significantly optimize its capital and financing structure and substantially reduce its leverage. Wolf Lehmann and Achim Schalk will assume his duties until further notice.

“After successfully navigating the complex challenges of the past few months together with his colleagues on the management board, Röhrhoff has decided to step down from his role as interim CEO a few weeks before the end of his term,” said Axel Herberg, chairman of the supervisory board of Gerresheimer

“We respect his decision and would like to express our sincere gratitude for his tremendous dedication over the past few months, which reflects his commitment to Gerresheimer. Over the past few months, he has played a key role in bringing Gerresheimer back on a sustainable path for the future.”
